A homegrown sponge. Now that makes sense.
The ideal material for a washing-up sponge is growing in this country in abundance, walking around our fields and hillsides - wool.
Despite this, most of our kitchen sponges are synthetic or made from plant materials grown and processed overseas. Synthetic sponges shed microplastics and are designed to be replaced frequently, before ending up in a landfill. In the UK alone, over 400 million are bought and binned every year.
Then there’s Woolsh: a natural, homegrown sponge.
